Mini Lessons

AKC Canine Good Citizen
1 Hour Session$181
The AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program is a 6-week training course designed to promote responsible dog ownership and encourage the development of well-mannered dogs. This nationally recognized program focuses on building strong foundations in obedience, social skills, and calm behavior in real-world settings.
Throughout the program, your dog will learn to:
Respond reliably to commands such as sit, down, stay, and come
Walk politely on a leash without pulling
Remain calm when greeted by strangers or other dogs
Stay relaxed in new environments and around distractions
At the end of the course, your dog can take the official AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. Passing earns them an AKC certification—a credential that shows off their good manners and can support therapy work, advanced training, or simply peace of mind. Optional test: $25 for official certification and registration.

Neither the trainer nor Furry Haven can guarantee specific results. Every dog is an individual with their own personality, history, and motivations, which means behavior can’t always be predicted or controlled. To promise otherwise would only set both dogs and their owners up for disappointment.

Furry Haven is such a nice, Beautiful place for my pup! They had so much to do for my little rascal. He didn't want to leave after a few days of being there. I tried out Furry Haven for the dog grooming (and yes, they even groom cats). They were so great to work with; kind, patient, asked questions about my dogs and clarified grooming needs. I really loved the staff and would give them 10 stars if I could. The best part is that the grooming was done early and they let the pups play in the daycare section until I could pick them up. They were so happy! They looked and smelled great, enjoyed stretching their legs and had pleasant staff! Definitely recommend them!

Furry Haven took great care of our two labs. You can tell the staff really loves what they do — our dogs came home happy, healthy, and totally worn out (in the best way). The place is super clean, well-organized, and has plenty of space and activities for the dogs. We felt totally at ease leaving them there and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommend!
